Promotion of intellectual property rights has been a major administrative policy in Taiwan,
the Yearbook on Plant Variety Rights not only provides complete data regarding variety right

registration of the current year, but also demonstrates our efforts to protect plant variety rights
and records the achievements during the process of research and development of new plant

varieties in Taiwan. From this year onward, the English translation of the yearbook will be
available below the Chinese text, in order to disseminate information regarding the plant variety

rights in Taiwan all over the world.

Many thanks to the applicants and plant breeders for providing materials and pictures of the
new plant varieties during the data collection process, by doing so that the compilation and

edition of the yearbook could be successfully completed. Despite our best efforts to maintain the
completeness and accuracy of information, mistakes may be made in haste. Hence, your kind

comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
