Erlun Township is situated at the northern tip of Yunlin County,

bordering on Changhua County in the north by the Zhuoshui River. Due

to tremendous amount of silt brought by the Zhuoshui River and

deposited downstream, the soil here is rich of organic matters. The soil

in Erlun Township becomes particularly fertile. For the reason, Erlun

Township is an important part of the great alluvial plain of the

Zhuoshui River. The rice and vegetables produced in Erlun Township

are well-known around Taiwan. The area is also called the “ Xiluo Seven

Com.” The rice from this area is of high quality and good taste. Long

time ago, it was Japanese Emperor’ s most favorite rice. Thus the

delicious rice from Erlun Township is really good rice of the highest

quality.
