Morphological and horticultural traits ؈ൄᗳ

1. Penghu No. 8-Red Lover is a small size seedless watermelon F1 variety.
2. The plant type is viny, rich in branch, strong vigor and fruit bearing, female flowers at consecutive

nodes. It is early fruit-bearing which took 38 days in spring cropping and 35 days in summer
cropping from transplanting to flowering.

3. The fruit is 35 days in spring cropping and 30 days in summer cropping from flowering to ripening. Fruit Vegetable
Round shaped and fruit weight is about 2.8 kg. The pericarp is green with light green stripes. Thick

peel with rich red fruit flesh and total solid soluble is about 13.0 °Brix. The self-life is about 35 days
respectively.
