II. Currently Applicable Scope of the Plant Variety and Plant Seed Act 附錄四

The plant varieties that are within the applicable scope of the plant Variety

and Plant Seed Act have been announced by the Council of Agriculture of the
Executive Yuan. The examination methods for each variety will be developed and

announced every year. A total of 165 plant varieties have been announced thus

far:

1. 55 vegetable varieties: Garlic, Chinese yam, Pak-choi, White gourd,

Cabbage, Watermelon, Taro, Watercress, Brussels sprout, Edible rape,
Celery, Cauliflower, Mustard, Chinese kale, Broccoli, Pumpkin, Bottle gourd,

chive, Strawberry, Potato, Co-ba, Garland chrysanthemum, Asparagus bean,

Statice, Eustoma, Gladiolus, Calla lily, Ludochilus, Caladiam, Aglaonema,

Chrysanthemum, New Guinea impatiens, Petunia, Poinsettia, Cattleya,

Gypsophila, Argyranthemum, Cat-tail willow, Philodendron, Phalaenopsis,

Cymbidium, Ginger lily, Hydrangea, Rieger Begonia, Epidendrum, Lycoris,
Periwinkle, Lycaste, Mandevilla, Ornamental Bromeliads, Cherry Blossom,

Azalea, Camellia, Coleus, Garden Orchid, Crown of Thorns, Stock, Limonium,

Dumb-cane, Dahlia, Sweet osmanthus, Sunflower, Plumeria, Verbena, Aster,

Calanthe, Bougainvillea, Malabar chestnut, Catasetinae (include Cycnoches),

Torenia.
3. 35 fruit varieties: Papaya, Indian jujube, Mango, Loquat, Persimmon,

Citrus, Pitaya, Banana, Mulberry, Peach, Litch, Pear, Guava, Sugar apple,

Carambola, Grape, Avocado, Pineapple, Mandarin, Waxapple, Sweet orange,

fig, white sapote, Abiu, longan, pomelo, grapefruit, lemon, lime, kumquat, Mei,

Plum, Egg-fruit, Star apple, Artocarpus
4. 10 agronomic crop varieties: Rice, Corn, Sweet potato, Mung bean, Soybean,
